If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, you may need to make an appointment with the practice nurse.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
Policy for Obtaining Vaccinations
Allow at least 8-12 weeks before travel to ensure enough time to complete vaccinations. Speak to a member of the reception team (either over the phone or at the front desk) who will ask a few questions regarding your trip. In your appointment, the nurse will do a travel assessment and if needed, administer the suggested vaccines in the same appointment.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
We require payment for private vaccines before we administer them so we therefore ask you to attend the appointments prepared to pay should you need to. The most payment per person would be £160 but this is not to say you may need those particular vaccines.
