Accessing Appointments
All our GP appointments are available to book from 8am either on the phone, online, through the NHS App or by coming into reception.
Appointments are accessible for telephone consultations or a face to face; our Care Navigators will confirm if the appointment is via the telephone or if you are required to come into the practice for your appointment.
We have a Duty Doctor available everyday if your medical need is urgent; you will receive a triage call from the On Call Doctor and if needed the doctor will ask you to come in to see them face to face at the practice.
Nursing appointments are available to book over the phone or at reception, we ask if you could call after 11am to book these appointments.
Telephone Appointments
For some problems, it may not be needed for you to come into the practice to see a doctor; if you wish, the reception staff can arrange a telephone consultation with a GP.
Telephone consultations can be booked over the phone, online, through the NHS App or at reception.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend an appointment at the practice please let us know as soon as possible so another patient can have the appointment.
If you do not let us know you are unable to attend this will be regarded as non-attendance.
Intimate Examinations
Sometimes it is necessary for the doctor or nurse that you are seeing to perform an intimate examination.
In accordance with our Practice Policy you will be asked if you would feel more comfortable having a chaperone present during your examination.
Please do not hesitate or be embarrassed to ask for a chaperone if you would like one.
All of our staff who are asked to chaperone have all received chaperone training.
Interpretation and Translation Services
If you require the service of an interpreter for an appointment, either for a language other than English or for British Sign Language (BSL), please inform us at reception in advance of your appointment date so we can arrange an Interpreter in time for your appointment.
